एक क्रिया होने पर दूसरी क्रिया होगी अथवा हो सकती है (अथवा दूसरी बात पहली बात पर निर्भर है) इस अर्थ को व्यक्त करने के लिये Conditional Sentence का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Conditional Sentence Examples in English to Hindi:-
1. If he hits me, I will hit him.
उसने मुझे मारा तो मैं उसे मारूंगा।
2. We should have come sooner if we had known this.
हमें यह मालूम होता तो हम जल्दी आ गए होते।
3. If you come across any problem, please let me know.
तुम्हें कोई भी परेशानी पेश आए तो जरा मुझे बताना।
4. If you had gone there, it would have been better.
तुम वहाँ गए होते तो अच्छा होता।
5. If you go there, it will be better.
तुम वहाँ गए तो अच्छा होगा।
ऊपर दिए गए Examples को समझने से यह मालूम होता है कि ये सारे Sentence Condition (शर्त) या Supposition (कल्पना) का भाव व्यक्त करते हैं। ऐसे Sentence को Conditional Sentences कहते हैं। Conditional Sentences formation कई प्रकार से होता है, जो ऊपर दिए गए Examples से स्पष्ट है। ऐसे Sentence में एक Main clause तथा एक If वाला या कभी-कभी without if वाला subordinate clause होता है।

1. If they had played harder, they would have won.
वे अधिक मेहनत से खेले होते तो जीत गए होते।
2. If you had run, you would have reached on time.
तुम दौड़े होते तो समय पर पहुँच जाते।
3. If you went there, it would be better.
तुम वहाँ गए तो अच्छा होगा।
4. If you have any trouble, I can turn off the TV.
तुम्हें कुछ तकलीफ हो तो मैं टीवी बंद कर सकता हूँ।
5. I am sorry if I have offended you.
मैंने तुम्हारा दिल दुखाया हो तो मुझे माफ करना।
6. If the rain continues, we will not be able to go out.
बारिश जारी रही तो हम बाहर नहीं जा सकेंगे।
7. If you go by car, you will reach on time.
तुम कार से गए तो समय पर पहुँचोगे।
8. If I stand for a long time, my knees hurt.
मैं ज्यादा देर तक खड़ा रहा तो मेरे घुटनों में दर्द होता है।
9. The match will be cancelled if it rains tomorrow.
कल बारिश हुई तो मुकाबला रद्द होगा।
10. If I were you, I would not blame him.
मैं तुम्हारी जगह होता तो मैंने उसे दोष नहीं दिया होता।
Types of Conditional Sentences
Structure के आधार पर Conditional Sentences चार प्रकार के होते हैं।- Zero Conditional Sentences
- First Conditional Sentences (Probable Condition)
- Second Conditional Sentences (Improbable Condition)

1. Zero Conditional Sentences in Hindi
यह उन तथ्यों को संदर्भित करता है जो आम तौर पर सच होते हैं।

अगर ये हो/होता है, तो ये होता है।
Structure
If/When + Present Simple, Present Simple
Examples:-
1. If you heat ice, it turns to water.
यदि बर्फ को गर्म करते हैं, तो पानी बन जाता हैं।
2. If you cut your nails, they grow back.
अगर आप नाखून काटते हैं, तो वे वापस बढ़ जाते हैं।
3. If we wear warm clothes we do not feel cold.
यदि हम गर्म कपड़े पहनते हैं तो हमें सर्दी नहीं लगती है।
4. If you speak the truth, everyone appreciates you.
अगर आप सच बोलते हैं, तो हर कोई आपकी सराहना करता है।
5. If you touch an electric current, you get a shock.
अगर आप बिजली के करंट को छूते हैं, तो आपको झटका लगता है।
2. First Conditional Sentences (Probable Condition) in Hindi
ये Sentence भविष्य की संभावित स्थितियों को दर्शाते हैं।

अगर ये हो/करें/करेंगे, तो वो होगा/हो सकता है।
Structure
If + Present Simple, Will/May/Might/Could

3. Second Conditional Sentences (Improbable Condition) in Hindi
ये Sentence वर्तमान में कल्पना की गई स्थितियों को दर्शाते हैं।

अगर ये होता, तो वो हो जाता/पाता।
Structure
If + Past Simple, Would/Could
Examples:-
1. If he came with us, we would bear all his expenses.
अगर वह हमारे साथ आता, तो हम उसका सारा खर्च उठाते।

4. Third Conditional Sentences (Impossible Condition) in Hindi
ये Sentence भूतकाल में की गई किसी गलत या चूक के बारे में बात करते हैं।

अगर ये (हुआ) होता, तो वो हो चुका होता/कर पाता/सकता था।
Structure
If + Past Perfect, Would have/Could have
Examples:-
1. If my brother had come, he would have helped me.
यदि मेरा भाई आया होता तो उसने मेरी मदद की होती।
2. If I had not controlled myself, I could have slapped him.
अगर मैंने खुद पर नियंत्रण नहीं किया होता, तो मैं उसे थप्पड़ मार सकता था।
3. If he had visited New York, he would have seen the Central Park.
अगर वह न्यूयॉर्क का दौरा करता, तो वह सेंट्रल पार्क देखता।
4. Had he stood in the election, he would have lost.
यदि वह चुनाव में खड़ा होता तो हार जाता।
5. If you had applied for this job, you could have got the job.
